John the Ripper<\/a> is a favourite password cracking tool of many pentesters. \u00a0There is plenty of documentation<\/a>\u00a0about its command line options.<\/p>\n

I’ve encountered the following problems using John the Ripper. \u00a0These are not problems with the tool itself, but inherent problems with pentesting and password cracking in general.<\/p>\n
